About Hillsdale
Countryside Montessori School’s journey began in 2005 with just 8 students. We rented space from a church and enjoyed introducing the community to the Montessori philosophy. As our program grew, the need for additional space and a larger playground prompted us to purchase 5 acres of land and build our own school and farm. We moved into our new space in 2013. In 2018, we expanded our classroom space again and added a large addition.
Today, Countryside Montessori School in Hillsdale has four primary classrooms, and a large Great Room for our 80 students. Our natural playground has expanded and is the setting for our outdoor classrooms two days a week. Gardening, harvesting apples from apple trees in the playground, pressing apple cider, creating patterns with pumpkins, and climbing on hay bales in the barn are a few of our outdoor learning experiences that provide lasting memories.
